OUR PROGRAMS

Transforming Lives Through Action

We run five core programs designed to address the most pressing needs of Kakuma’s refugee and host communities—from education and economic empowerment to peacebuilding and environmental action.

Adult Education & Community Learning

Our Adult Education program provides English and Kiswahili literacy classes, numeracy training, life skills development, civic awareness, and social cohesion learning for adults in our community.

Peacebuilding Through Sports (Handball for Peace)

Through organized teams, leagues, and inter-community events, we use handball as a tool for peacebuilding, offering life skills workshops and mentorship alongside athletic training.

Digital Storytelling, Cultural Diversity & Camp Architecture

Youth learn photography, videography, writing, and editing skills to document their stories, preserve cultural heritage, map camp architecture, and advocate for their community through digital platforms.

Women's Business & Entrepreneurship Training

We support women through business skills training, small enterprise development (tailoring, crafts, food), financial literacy, savings groups, and mentorship circles.

Climate Change & Environmental Action

Our environmental program includes climate education, youth environmental clubs, tree planting campaigns, waste management initiatives, and basic solar and renewable energy skills training.
